• Are you interested in being part of an initiative to provide high quality online professional development to Pennsylvania educators?

If you answered yes to these questions, you may want to consider becoming a course facilitator for us.

The Facilitating and Implementing Online Professional Development Program prepares teams of participants from a local educational organization to facilitate online workshops for colleagues in their states or school districts. Through this training, participants are able to experience online teaching and learning first as learners, and then as facilitators, gaining valuable experience necessary to build strong local OPD programs, while impacting additional teachers and administrators with the workshops they offer.

Participants are trained in a semester-long course, focused on online teaching and learning, skills and techniques of online facilitation, and planning for incorporating online learning into local programs. The six-session online workshops are project- and standards-based and focus on content, pedagogy, and technology integration in specific K-12 subject areas and grade levels.

Why become a facilitator?

• You'll participate in a 10-week course and learn facilitation techniques that will enhance your own teaching experiences as well as prepare you to lead online courses. You will receive a stipend for completing the training and delivering your first course.
• Join the team of facilitators to deliver future courses and earn a stipend per course.
• Graduate credit is available for completing the facilitator course.
